Wharncliffe Crags - Sheffield Forest Loop

With the temperature being a bit cooler than the previous week we had a chance to get out for a walk with 🐶 Taco.

Route The Crag

Parking up in Wortley we set off down the Trans Pennine Trail and along the gravel paths which are very popular with cyclists and horse riders, through the woodland and up and out on to Wharncliffe Heath.

Once up on the heath we were treated to some great views. We didn’t come across any other people so it was a very peaceful walk - it would have been a perfect spot for lunch and at the time wished we had packed a picnic!

After looping around we met back up with the Trans Pennine Trail and headed back to the car.

Remembering we had passed Wortley Wagyu on the way we walked over to the farm shop and noticed they also had a cafe which served food and drinks.

One Wagyu burger and BBQ beef loaded fries later (both amazing and well recommended) we headed home with one very happy and tired dog!
